About the Course
In the present context, for Indian companies to survive and grow in global marketplace, they must use Operations Management and Six Sigma principles to understand customer requirements and improve the quality of goods and services to world-class levels.
This program would revolve around the key concepts, the process of implementation and the specific challenges of Six Sigma.
The program also teaches the basic statistical tools and techniques used in Six Sigma. The program will be conducted on the various phases of DMAIC model to enable the participants to work in terms of methodology, tools & techniques.
The objectives of this course are:
To enable participants to obtain a good understanding of the philosophy and principles of Operations management and six sigma.
To enable participants to effectively plan for quality, control quality and eventually improve quality of the goods and services of your company.
The Six sigma program is designed on the various phases of DMAIC model (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) to enable the participants to work in terms of methodology, tools & techniques. Each concept will be supported by case studies/assignment and class exercises.
The participants will be given exposure to solve problems in MS Excel & Minitab. Each session would have read material, which the participant is expected to read and come to the class.

Eligibility
- Graduation or equivalent degree from any recognized University or Institute

Course Pedagogy
The form of delivery will be Blended (Campus, Self-space and online), with 1 day workshop and a final examination will be conducted by the Institute at the end of the course. All the sessions will be conducted through the digital platform and delivered LIVE by the eminent faculty of IIM Kashipur.
Assessment
There are periodic evaluations built in throughout the duration of the course. These maybe in the form of a quiz, assignment, presentation, Main business plan, case study, final exam or other objective/subjective assessment. The evaluations are designed to ensure continuous student engagement with the course and encourage practical learning. Students who successfully clear the same along with the requisite attendance criteria will be awarded a Certificate from IIM Kashipur as appropriate.
